3 Reasons Why You Need A Wedding Planner

If you have been on the fence whether or not having a wedding planner, you need to read this!

When you are getting married…

The first three things you need to do is find your venue, hire a photographer, and hire a wedding planner. Why is a wedding planner totally necessary for a wedding? They just make life a whole hell of a lot easier!

Here are 3 reasons why you need a wedding planner for your big day!

1. Save you time (and your sanity)

Gone are the days where you spend hours and hours on figuring out what vendors you should use, how to plan your wedding day, coming up with a wedding day timeline, what the reception should look like, make seating charts, getting in touch with your venue and vendors, etc.

Wedding planners are the ultimate time-savers out there! They are very detail-oriented and know the ins and outs of planning a wedding because they have a ton of experience under their belt! You can just sit back, relax, and know that your wedding planner has everything under control.

2. They know which vendors to use

You know how I mentioned above that they have a ton of weddings under their belt? That means that they have worked with a ton of different vendors!

Not sure which caterer you want to use? They know who exactly to go to based on what kind of food you want to serve and your budget. Not sure what florist you want to use for your big day? They are friends with a ton of florists in your area who do amazing work! Wedding planners are basically your go-to friend who knows the ins and outs of which vendors you should use!

3. They make your wedding day stress-free

Wedding planners have this gift of making sure everything is under control, even in circumstances when you can’t control it.

For example, last summer, I had a wedding I photographed at a venue that completely lost electricity for 3 hours from a storm that happened earlier in the day. Mind you, when the venue lost electricity, this was an hour before the wedding. Not only did the wedding start at the time that it was supposed to, but the wedding planner completely pulled through by finding a backup generator to make sure that there was electricity during the ceremony and reception.

I joke and say that wedding planners fight fires, but seriously, they do. They are a godsend during your wedding day. They are great at making sure that everything is on time, and to make your wedding day as stress-free as possible! I cannot recommend them enough!
