Surrounded by family and friends, Sofia and John said “I do”, overlooking the Denver Skyline at Wedgwood’s Brittany Hill.
Let me preface this story by telling you how much I adore this couple. I have been looking forward to Sofia and John’s wedding since the day that they booked me as their wedding photographer. Leading up to the wedding, I would watch their Instagram stories, and you can just tell how much this couple adores each other!
Sofia and John met while hiking the Seven Bridges trail in Colorado. The connection was instantaneous and started dating shortly after. These two are very adventurous and love the great outdoors; they love hiking together! The Maroon Bells in Aspen, Colorado is one of their favorite places to go to!
Both Sofia and John are very sweet and caring people who love helping others. John is a colonel in the US Army in Fort Carson and does social work! Sofia works as a CCMA at a clinic in Colorado Springs!
On July 8th, 2019, John proposed to Sofia at the Botanical Gardens in San Antonio, Texas in front of the rose bushes! (Her favorite!)
Fast forward 4 months later…
You could feel the excitement in the air! Upstairs, Sofia got ready with her bridesmaids and close family. The entire time, Sofia smiled from ear to ear while getting ready!
Downstairs, John was equally as excited to finally marry his bride. John and his friends are quite jokesters, and kept things light and fun while I was taking the groomsmen group shots!
Close family and friends gathered in their seats anxiously waiting for the ceremony to start! John was walked down the aisle by his Aunt Sherry. As John stood at the end of the alter, his eyes lit up and had the sweetest grin when it was Sofia’s turn to walk down the aisle. Sofia was walked down the aisle by John’s uncle, Mark. As they went down the steps, there are truly no words to describe the love you see as he watched Sofia walk towards him. It was actually pretty emotional to watch it! Truly, the sweetest thing ever.
Mark, John’s uncle, was the officiant for the wedding. The ceremony itself was beautiful. It was super cute because, after their first kiss, Sofia looked back at everyone sitting down and made the “YESSSS” gesture! (You’ll see in the pictures below😉)
To be completely honest, Sofia and John’s wedding was the most perfect wedding to end my wedding season. This couple and their friends and family are so sweet and so much fun! When I say you can feel the love, you can truly see it and feel it.
Thank you again Sofia and John for having me as your wedding photographer. Capturing your wedding has been one of the highlights of 2019! I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you both!!❤️
