Productivity 101- How To Get Sh*t Done | Mompreneur Monday

Mompreneur Monday series, productivity lesson 101- Let’s go!

Today we are going to talk all about productivity!

I will be the first to raise my hand and say, it is so hard to be productive when you have kids. Not only are you running a full-time biz, but you are also managing the house and being super mom all at the same time. It is EXHAUSTING! If you are struggling to find the balance between it all and trying to find the time to be productive, you are in the right place! Productivity 101- 3 steps on how you are going to get stuff done! Step one…

1. Batch work, babe!

One of the best tips that I can give is to batch work with your business. Find one day a week where you sit down and knock out everything that has to do with that one topic. For instance, every first Monday of the month, I take the entire day to knock out a month’s worth of content on my Instagram so I don’t have to worry about it the rest of the month. Not only will you feel like a boss afterward, but you will feel like a huge weight is lifted off your shoulders! Batch work, babe! This will help so much with your productivity and your sanity, I promise you. Onto the next step, step 2…

2. Rise and shine!

I still struggle with this at times today, but the next best advice I can give you is to wake up before the kids do. Even if you can devote an hour just to your business before the kids wake up, you will feel super productive the rest of the day and feel like you can take over the world. Rise and shine! After you have done this for a while, chances are, your internal time clock will wake you up in the morning and you will establish a routine! Speaking of routines, step 3…

3. Routines, routines, routines!

I cannot stress this enough, find yourself a routine. If that means getting work done in the morning or during your child’s nap time, make a routine of it. I’m not saying you can’t binge watch episodes of Grey’s Anatomy during their nap time, (currently raising my hand and totally guilty), but try to set a routine so that you can look forward to working on the biz that you created! Routines, routines, routines! Your productivity will be sky high and you will find tremendous growth in your business because you are setting time aside to focus on it!

That’s all for today, folks!
