Have you ever struggled to go with the flow when life feels like a lot is going on at once? Good news, you are just going through a season! Keep reading to find out more!

When everything starts to feel like a lot…

Have you ever felt like you had a lot going on all at once? As a result, you don’t have the chance to sit down and take a break for yourself, even to collect your thoughts?

Yes? If so, I know exactly how you feel! Been there and definitely have done that.

As I’m writing this blog post, I am currently in a season where things feel like a lot going on at once. I’m taking care of my husband, who just had surgery, while taking care of my daughter, our dogs, and managing my business and what feels like 24/7 morning sickness. Yes, I’m pregnant!!

I tell you this because if you are going through the same thing, remember this!

This is just a season!

A season in life

Much like your typical seasons (spring, summer, fall, and winter), there are going to be times in your life where life seems to dish up some crazy things.

You may be in a fantastic season where everything is going right and wonderful! But, maybe, you are in a season where everything feels like it’s going wrong. Perhaps you are in a season of falling in love or a season of grief.

But it all comes back to the one thing; it’s just a season.

Seasons come and go, like the wind. They are constantly changing and never permanent. How freeing is that?! Knowing that the season you are in is not going to last forever!

However, if you are in a current season that feels like a bit of a rough patch, here is what will help you the most…

meditate, meditation, go with the flow, how to go with the flow, learn how to let go and go with the flow, nature, flow like mother nature, stop controlling and go with flow, let it be, bless and release, relax and let go

Going with the flow

I know, so much easier said than done. But believe it or not, it’s relatively easy!

Think of the season you are going through, like being on a boat in the ocean. When you hit turbulent waters, do you fight against the water, or would you move with the waves? Of course, you would adapt and move with the waves to the best of your ability!

The same goes with life! When life starts to get turbulent, it’s so much easier to stop resisting and go with the flow instead of fighting what’s going on!

How to tell if you are going with the flow

One of the best ways to see if you are going with the flow is by checking in with yourself. What I’ve found has been the easiest way to do this is through journaling!

Here are five questions to ask and check in on yourself while you are journaling-

  • How am I feeling in this very moment?
  • Where am I having resistance?
  • How can I let go of some resistance?
  • What circumstances do I have control over?
  • What circumstances do I not have control over?

Asking yourself these five questions to check-in is pivotal because by doing so, you are becoming so much more self-aware. And when you are self-aware, you know how to better take care of yourself!
