3 Ways to Set Boundaries Today

Do you want to step outside your comfort zone but are not sure what’ll happen? In this blog post, we will go over the three things that happen when you do!

First off, I want to congratulate you for wanting to take the next step in expanding your comfort zone! It can be terrifying at first when you start to, but completely worth it!

So what are the three things that you can expect when you step out of your comfort zone? Quite simply;

  1. It feels uncomfortable
  2. You grow
  3. You get a new comfort zone

Without further adieu, let’s get started!

1. It feels uncomfortable

When you take the first step out of your comfort zone, it’s going to feel uncomfortable. You may feel vulnerable, anxious, worried, or maybe even exposed. But who can blame you?! You are stepping into brand new territory.

When you are in this uncomfortable state, it’s essential to stay grounded in your “why.”

Your why is essentially your purpose in why you are going after the thing you want. For example, you want to be healthy because you want to have a healthy pregnancy. Or maybe your why is starting a new business so that you have extra income for your daughter to take dance lessons.

Whatever your why is, it is essential to note that it needs to be bigger than your fear.

Why does it need to be bigger than your fear? Because if your fear is more significant than your why your fear will win. And let’s face it, we don’t want that to happen.

2. You will grow

This is one of the best parts of stepping out of your comfort zone. You will be able to grow in ways that you could never have imagined.

When you grow, you start to be more and more confident in yourself. Then, it’s like a ripple effect. When you become confident in yourself, then others will be confident in you.

Another great part about growing is learning new things. When you step outside your comfort zone, you are so much more open and receptive to learning new things that will only help you.

For instance, when I started my photography business, I grew by listening to podcasts on marketing, which helped my business in the long run.

Last but very not least, you will have a new comfort zone!

3. You will have a new comfort zone

Yes, it’s true. You will have a new comfort zone when after you go through the discomfort and growing. However, before too long, your new comfort zone will start to feel normal, and you will want to step out of it all over again.

It’s all normal and genuinely amazing because it means that you are always challenging yourself to better yourself more and more.
